Itinerary

Day 1– Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest via Mbarara
  • Early breakfast at 6:00 am
  • Your Safari guide will pick you up from your hotel or at the airport and head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
  • Stop at the Equator Monument for photos and coffee.
  • Lunch en route in Mbarara.
  • You will get to the lodge in time for dinner and an overnight stay.

Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge. (Meals: Lunch, Dinner)

  • Wake up early, and have a good breakfast.
  • Your guide will then transfer you to the park offices where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts of gorilla tracking and what to expect on your gorilla tracking adventure.
  • Embark on your gorilla trekking adventure (1–6 hours depending on gorilla location).
  • You will only be with the gorillas for one hour, at a distance of 7 meters to avoid contact.
  • After your trek, you will have lunch in the forest then return to the park offices

Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

  • Leisurely breakfast and begin your return journey.
  • Accommodation for tonight is not included in the program. If you wish to depart tonight from Entebbe Airport, make sure your flight is at 10:00 p.m. or later. If you want us to book one (or more) nights in Kampala and/or Entebbe, please let us know.
