Itinerary
Day 1: Journey to Murchison Falls NP
+On arrival in Uganda, you will be welcomed and picked by our Trek Safaris guide, who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Entebbe International Airport, and you will be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park.
On your way to Murchison Falls National Park, you will branch off to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking; this activity is truly one of a kind in Uganda, the pearl of Africa.
After the rhino tracking, you will be driven to Murchison Falls National Park.
Your first tourist attraction in the park is the top of the falls, which are the most powerful waterfalls in the whole world. It is a breathtaking experience that brings you very close to these magnificent falls, where the Nile forces its way through a gorge in the rocks and tumbles 43m below flowing westwards into Lake Albert.
Then you will go for a short evening game drive around the park
Day 2: Game Drive, Boat cruise and Birding
+Embark on an early morning game drive on the Northern bank where your guide will help you spot a great number of animals and birds. The famous Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest protected area, home to more than 73 animal species, including buffaloes, leopards, lions, and elephants, 3/4 of the world’s population of Rothschild giraffes plus a healthy population of herbivores. In addition to 451 bird species, including 23 Albertine rift endemics.
You will end back at the lodge for lunch and rest till 2 pm for an afternoon boat ride. You will safari upstream by boat to the calm Victoria Nile and the base of the falls. There you can marvel at toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over the 17-kilometer stretch, you may also see elephants, waterbucks, and Uganda kobs. This is also the habitat for many bird species.
You will go for an evening game drive after your boat ride.
