Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
- Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, meet and greet by your driver-guide.
- Transfer to Kampala for overnight stay.
Day 2: Kampala - Kibale Forest National Park
- After breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest National Park (about 5–6 hours).
- Enjoy views of tea plantations and crater lakes along the way. Kibale Forest is surrounded by large, green tea plantations. A visit to the area cannot go without a stop in one of the tea estates. Learn how the leaves are processed and transformed into tea.
- The stretch between Fort Portal and Kibale Forest is known as the crater lakes region. Here you can simply enjoy the beauty of the numerous small lakes and the stunning views.
- Stop for lunch in Fort Portal.
- Arrive at your lodge near Kibale in the evening.
Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 3:Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Walk
- After breakfast, report to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a short briefing.
- Begin your chimpanzee trekking adventure in Kibale Forest, home to 13 primate species. The most favorite of Kibale’s walks embarks from the Kanyanchu Visitor center at 08.00 & 15.00 and lasts 2 to 3 hours. With over 95% chance of seeing the chimps, Kibale Forest is the best destination in the whole of East Africa for seeing the chimpanzees. Other primates like the Red-Colobus Monkeys, Mangabey … might be spotted. On your track, the ranger will explain you more about the animals and plants species you encounter.
- Return for lunch and relaxation.
- Afternoon Bigodi Wetland Walk, led by community guides to spot colobus monkeys and colorful birds. Rich in biodiversity and beautiful scenery, the wetland is a birder’s paradise with about 138 species. Located outside the park in Magombe Swamp it hosts eight species of primates.
- Accommodation – Same as previous night. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 4: Kibale - Queen Elizabeth National Park
- Breakfast and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park (approx. 3 hours).
- Enjoy scenic views of crater lakes and the Rwenzori Mountains.
- Afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to view hippos, crocodiles, and elephants.
- (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth - Lake Mburo National Park
- Early morning game drive in Kasenyi Plains in search of lions, elephants, and buffaloes.
- Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park (approx. 5–6 hours).
- Afternoon game drive or optional boat ride on Lake Mburo.

Day 6:Lake Mburo → Kampala / Entebbe (Departure)
- Early morning nature walk or short game drive.
- Stop at the Equator for photos and souvenir shopping.
- Continue to Kampala or Entebbe for drop-off or your evening flight.
